Confucius Institute offers summer program for teachers, students interested in learning Chinese language and culture

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - For the fifth consecutive year, Bryant University's Confucius Institute will offer two summer programs for the study of Chinese language and culture.
A two-week program for elementary-, middle- and high-school students and a three-week program for current and prospective K-12 teachers are offered through a grant from STARTALK, part of the federal government's National Security Language Initiative, which seeks to expand and improve the teaching and learning of strategically important world languages that are not widely taught in the United State.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - The U.S.-China Institute and Confucius Institute at Bryant University are offering 12-week introductory Chinese language classes for students in grades K-8 and adults. The classes are held on the Bryant University campus, 1150 Douglas Pike. Registration deadline is March 16.

This is the fourth consecutive year Bryant has received a STARTALK grant.
