Bryant student is named a Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact

Rocina Dalzell '13 of Brooklyn, N.Y., is honored for her efforts around issues surrounding child welfare and HIV/AIDS.
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Rocina Dalzell '13 of Brooklyn, N.Y., has been named a Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact. She is one of 162 college students from across the United States to be selected for their achievements in finding solutions to community problems.
"These students represent the next generation of public problem solvers and civic leaders. They serve as national examples of the role that higher education can — and does — play in building a better world," said Campus Compact Board Chair James B. Dworkin, chancellor at Purdue University North Central.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Look for the impetus behind many Bryant University initiatives to create social change and you'll often find Christopher Brida '12.
For his leadership and commitment to making a difference, Brida, of Southampton, Mass., is one of 135 college students from across the United States to be selected as a Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact. The award, named for Campus Compact co-founder Frank Newman, honors "the next generation of public problem solvers and civic leaders," said Campus Compact President Maureen F. Curley. The winners "serve as national examples of the role that higher education can - and does - play in building a better world," she said.
