More than 600 students are expected at job fair featuring 34 government agencies

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - More than 600 resume-toting college students from across Rhode Island will travel to Bryant University on Thursday, Nov. 5, in the hope of landing the prize in a tight economy - a job or an internship.
From 2-5 p.m. in the Bryant Multipurpose Activities Center, the students will network with representatives from 34 government agencies, discuss career paths, and learn about the job application process. The event is sponsored by Bryant University's Amica Center for Career Education and nine other R.I. colleges and universities — Brown University, Community College of Rhode Island, Johnson & Wales University, New England Institute of Technology, Providence College, Rhode Island College, Roger Williams University, Salve Regina and the University of Rhode Island.
This is the second government career fair sponsored at Bryant. The first, held earlier this year, featured 18 state and federal agencies and drew more than 630 attendees.
