A crash course in recycling for departing students
May 21st, 2012 | Providence Journal
At the end of spring semester, the Providence Journal reports, many colleges and universities, including Bryant, make it easy for students to recycle or donate clothing, furniture and other unwanted but serviceable items that otherwise would fill residence hall dumpsters.
At Bryant, clothing that has been donated by departing Bryant students is donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island; canned or unopened boxes of food go to Rhode Island Food Bank and to the food pantry at Our Lady of Good Help Church in Mapleville; and electronic items that are left behind are donated to Goodwill if the items meet certain requirements.
