Bryant students’ public speaking skills put to the test March 26

SMITHFIELD, R.I.  - Communication skills will be put to the test at Bryant University on Monday, March 26, when students compete in the final round of the University's third annual Public Speaking Colloquium.

The colloquium, hosted by Channel 12 news anchor Danielle North, will take place from 7-9 p.m. in Stepan Grand Hall at Bryant University's Bello Center, 1150 Douglas Pike. Bryant students who advanced from preliminary rounds held March 23 will present their speeches to a panel of judges. At stake is a total of $2,000 in prize.

Hanover Insurance Group is the event's corporate sponsor; University sponsors include the College of Arts and Sciences' Department of Communication and The Podium, Bryant University's public speaking organization.
