Confucius Institute offers 12-week Chinese language courses for K-8, adults; private tutoring also available

SMITHFIELD, R.I.  -  The U.S.-China Institute and Confucius Institute at Bryant University are offering 12-week introductory Chinese language classes for students in grades K-8 and adults. The classes are held on the Bryant University campus, 1150 Douglas Pike. Registration deadline is March 16.

Chinese for Young Learners (beginning; recommended grade - K-8)

• Every Thursday, March 22 to June 7, from 5-6 p.m.
• Cost: $300

Chinese for Adults (beginning)

• Every Wednesday, March 21 to June 6, from 6:30-8 p.m.
• Cost: $450

Private tutoring

• One-on-one Chinese instruction customized for the student's language level and schedule. Tutors are native Mandarin speakers with excellent English-speaking capability.
• Cost: $200 for 10 sessions
